DARK CHOCOLATE CANDY CANE POPCORN

This holiday inspired popcorn requires only 3 simple ingredients and takes only 5 minutes to make! Vegan, gluten-free + nut-free. This popcorn would make the perfect treat to snack on while snuggled up watching cheesy Christmas movies. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1/2 large dark chocolate bar (75-100g), melted (check ingredients to make sure it's dairy-free)
  • 1 large candy cane, crushed

Method

  1. Pop popcorn kernels in an air popper or over the stove. Once popped, spread the popcorn onto a lined baking sheet.

  2. Evenly drizzle ~1/3 of the melted chocolate over the popcorn, immediately followed with a sprinkle of ~1/3 of the crushed candy cane. Once the chocolate has set, gently toss the popcorn.

  3. Repeat the second step two more times, or until all pieces have been drizzled with chocolate. If the chocolate isn't setting right away, refrigerate the tray for one minute before tossing the popcorn.
